Lunch Procedures

HOT LUNCH PROGRAM                                

A hot lunch with milk is provided on regular school days for those families who wish to purchase the lunch. Fees for the 2023-24 year are the following:

Student lunch including milk                                        $4.00

Reduced student lunch                                                $1.25

Student milk                                                               $0.60


Students may pay for lunches or milk on a daily, weekly, monthly or yearly basis. Checks should be made payable to “School District 135”, and all monies should be sent in a sealed envelope labeled with the child’s name and teacher name.  Menus are sent home with students each month. 


LUNCHES FROM HOME                            

If your child brings lunch to school, please abide by the following parameters:

  1.  Reusable lunch bags/boxes should be labeled with your child’s first and last name.
  2.  Only send items in plastic containers; glass is not allowed. In addition, send food in containers that the child can open by him or herself.
  3.  Send the appropriate amount of food that your child can eat within fifteen minutes. The remainder of the lunch period is used for recess.  If your child forgets his or her lunch, we will provide one that can be paid for the next day.
